COP26 President Alok Sharma visited Fiji in September, 2022 to better understand the efforts of the Pacific nations to deal with climate change. President Sharma joined us in Daku village to see the impacts of climate change.

Visit of Professor Kerry Emmanuel

In February 2016, the tropical cyclone Winston was the most intense tropical cyclone in the southern hemisphere on record and Fiji was hard hit.

Ten months later, Professor Kerry Emmanuel, MIT tropical cyclone expert, was traveling in the area and made a visit to see what we were doing to develop better resilience for such events.
